The story of the play . Set in a mythical Southern European state. A romantic story and music well above the average. The " Maid of The Mountains" played for more than 1,000 performances in London, since it was first performed 18 years ago-in 1916.It has continued throughout theatres elsewhere .It is an entirely British product, both the libretto & music coming from the pens of Englishmen.
