Background to Production:

First performed in 1977. Performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the first performance two people came, the next night nobody came. The third night Brian Glover came to see the play and later said "I don't think there's much chance of this play going anywhere."

A history of the words bouncers from 1833 when the word Bouncers was first coined it meant a bully, liar or boaster. Bouncers had a long history with the Nazis - both on their side and against them. In the last half century, Bouncers have been accused of being part of criminal gangs, attacked by Triads in Hong Kong, been part of long running feuds with organised gangs of football hooligans and more.
